The hotel diet
The experience of staying at all-inclusive hotels where I observed what people eat and then compared their body shapes, I saw that those who were the thickest also ate the unhealthiest. They ate toasted bread with jam for breakfast and bacon and sausages with lots of salt instead of fried eggs and beans like I did, which is a lot of protein. They chose large portions of French fries and ate mountains of white bread and cookies for meals instead of a large portion of salad mix. They could also drink soda with this. The thickest ones then sat at the bar and drank copiously with cocktails and smoked while gulping down beer most of the day, showing no restraint at all. These people came from all over Europe and could weigh around 150 kilos. I wonder how far they had to go until a stroke? The slim ones who kept in shape took a cup of coffee at the bar and no sugary drinks, beer, cognac, or whiskey.
When I followed the diet and ate healthy according to the Neutral Cabbage Diet, I realized that everything together had become like if I had enrolled in a health retreat. I sunbathed, walked on the beach, did water aerobics, strength trained at the gym, and ate and drank healthily, and had a siesta at 2:00 p.m. I ate at regular times: breakfast at 8:00 a.m., lunch at 1:00 p.m., and dinner at 6:00 p.m. Certainly, at 2:30 p.m. after the post-lunch nap, I had a snack and ate a less sweet, unhealthy small cake, and sometimes I had coconut ice cream with mango for dessert at dinner or lunch. In the afternoon, I would occasionally have a glass of beer at the bar, but only once a week, not every day. In the evening, I would eat a couple of dates or dried plums, and sometimes half a small banana. The whole result was that I lost about 1 kg per week. But overall, there was weight loss. I stayed at the hotel for 3.5 weeks. When I got home, I continued in the same style.
It all boils down to a reasonable conclusion and an effective way to lose weight or keep weight under control is to eat half the plate of cabbage and salad and only eat a moderately sized piece of meat or fish along with it, with a tasty sauce as there usually are several to choose from in hotel restaurants, so it's delicious. Note that you are therefore skipping carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes, pasta, and eating protein and fiber such as a large salad mix. During the day, you can take long walks on the beach, perhaps do some strength training at the hotel gym, or swim long distances in the pool.
